As a result of recent road upgrades Phillip Island is now accessed from Melbourne by a divided highway which, virtually extends all the way to the to the island.

Travelling S.E. via the M1 Monash Freeway, M420 Sth Gippsland Hwy and A220 Bass Hwy, Phillip Island is now only an average trip time of 1 hour and 45 minutes from Melbourne.

Upon entering the Island from the town of San Remo (once across the bridge), follow the main road across the Island and into Cowes. Then turn left at the 3rd roundabout (Church Street). Penguin Places is located 1.4 km on the right hand side at 210 Church Street.
